Solvent-based PU is often used on outdoor garments, tents, or backpacks to strengthen their fabric’s durability and functions. Recently, it has been replaced by water-based PU to lower the environmental impact. The production of general water-based PU still involves solvents. Even though the solvent will be vacuumed out/ or evaporated during coating processes in most cases, minor solvent components can be found on the end products. On the other hand, the production of XQUA involves no solvent. It is truly a 100% solvent-free product.
Water-based acrylic coating
HOYU has developed a water-based coating that is high-temperature and water-pressure resistant, waterproof, UV-projection, and most importantly, this coating contains no solvent during the production.
Due to its high-temperature character, we can apply heat transfer print directly after coating. In this case, colorful patterns are able to stay on the surface of the fabric. High-quality backpacks or high-end women's bags are the perfect products for this application.
